quick cleanse

i've been helping a few friends with a few interior projects lately and the more i engage and try to help them find their vision and balance for their space, i realize i want less in my life and space (belongings that is).

these images found on trine thorsen's site helped jolt me back into my personal & ideal pallet...a blank one that can be layered and stripped away if needed. very symbolic for 2011 and going forward.

i noticed my friend at the ticking is getting her house in order too....something is in the air and it ain't spring :)

DANG it! Will you please come over and cleanse my home, dearest?

Love these photos. So refreshing. Less is more, of course. I don't know if I could restrain myself to that level though...You know me, I'm a collector :)

Not to mention the fact that I have a husband who doesn't like white walls. Sigh.

YES - it's like we get out 'design quotient' at work or with others and when I get home I want simple. simple. simple!

I am SOOOO there with you, Mister! I think I've finally settled into liking the kind of palette you describe. With all the color and images that float through my brain on a constant basis, this type of palette feels soothing and refreshing. Ah!

ivy- glad you like. me like too.

dennice - lets book the ticket. not a day goes by that i don't try and figure out all the needed travel to see family. arg. you have WAY too many beautiful things to hide them away...you just need a bigger house (ha, ha) a pool house maybe.
that husband..i think we can sway him. baked goods??

coast- me too

copelvick - the search continues. do you think this house could use more stools? hmmm...just sitting here i can think of 6 within 30 feet. :) always room for more.

architectdesign - i know. my personal space is so treasured and i like not having to dust so much :)

uncle beefy - your images inspire me and if i only had several more homes i could really let it all out. somedays i think i am going to explode and switch over to patterns....lots and lots of earthen reds/blues/oranges...morocco madness.

I think we're all looking for a bit of 'peace and clarity' at the moment and your pefect pallet here does the trick beautifully...I feel so calm and uncluttered just looking at it.
