mark your calendars

Margaret Kilgallen (1967-2001) will be on exhibit at Ratio 3 Gallery in San Francisco until August 5, 2011.

Margaret Kilgallen was an influential Bay Area artist. Her work was strongly informed by craftsmanship, folk art, signage and letterpress: works that revealed "evidence of the maker's hand."

her work totally inspires me...the folk art that takes my imagination to a different time.

Margaret Kilgallen is one of my all-time favorite artists and it is a tragedy that she died so young. Lovely to see her name and work pop up here. :)

I love the picture of all the different lips. It's cute how one of them is the same red color but as a paper air plane. Making lips into paper airplanes is ingenious.
