trinkets (is that how you spell it)

as some of you know, i prefer to keep all my clutter contained. if i knew how to do "things you might also like" on this blog i would recall some old post for your reading pleasure.

anywho, these little trinkets obviously belonged to bud and mac and they sat on their desktop as long as i can remember. bud had a roll of stamps in his and mac had buttons and paper clips.

i asked my family to save these for me and they did. they are kept in the clutter zone, in the dining room built in and it is as if they were meant to live there.

the smallest memories create the biggest treasures.

babe. haven't even read your whole post yet - just wanted to help with the 'LinkWithin' blog feature. Go to my blog (or any other with the "linkwithin' feature) and click on the 'Linkwithin' logo below the little strip of three photos. It's a separate widget/ not Blogger related. I believe you will be able to set it up from there. Give me a holla if you need more help.
(It took me FOREVER to figure it out!) Best, Donna

OK, now I've read your whole post and I couldn't agree more. When my husband's grandmother died, I just wanted a little keepsake, nothing grand. I have a small hand-held mirror she used in the mornings and it gives me great joy...

your pieces are always the best...

thank you

i adore it... i feel her presence every time i read it... daily.
10 years later... that is an awesome gift.

What special mementos to have...precious items that were used daily, and they are right at home, in your home. To have Bud and Maxine's names right there too makes them even more personal, more special.

These trinkets (yes, that's how you spell it) are most definitely treasures.

red ticking- i love your treasure...i know that one. :)
24 corners- i also think it is grand that their names are actually on these. maxine's sister marvel made them. she was the family artist.
mary- you and your family are on my mind and my list. praying for little and big miracles here.

oh, so sweet! I love the color - it speaks of life and vitality which sounds like it perfectly describes your grandparents as you remember them....
